Finding the correct ski pole length is crucial for optimal performance. Utilize the angle rule: flip a ski pole upside down, and grasp it just below the basket. Your elbow should comfortably rest near your hip with a 90-degree arm angle.
If poles aren't available, use a tape measure with your elbow bent at 90 degrees, adding two inches for snow submersion.
(For park skiing, shorter poles aid balance and avoid interference.)

"I have used the agent pole for one full season and it has held up really well. I thought it was going to be more fragile since it’s extendable, but that is not the case at all. No matter the terrain, whether you’re in deep snow in the backcountry or on the groomers. The agent pole is great. It’s so convenient being able to change the size of your poles. "Strong all around poles with style. Grips are great, but the extended section could be improved with increased thickness and added texture or material to make them better to hold. Also cap them with a stronger material to make adjusting bindings and plunging on boot packs better. The plastic length fasteners are surprisingly strong and easy to adjust. Powder baskets are dope and were good on the skin track. Bent the bottom section about 15° on a wipeout, but bent back fine with a few whacks."
