Meet the new La Machine

Most touring skis are based on a single choice: getting there light, or skiing well when you get there. The La Machine Series lets you have both. The lightest Faction skis in the collection, full-carbon layers in their core deliver self-powered touring missions into the planet's wildest and deepest freeskiing terrain.

Built with Carbon

The La Machine Series is built with a Lightweight Paulownia Core and 2 full carbon layers. Paulownia is an ultra-lightweight wood core with excellent strength, offering great flex and vibration absorption without bulk. Perfect for touring skis, Paulownia excels both uphill and downhill. Paulownia shares nearly identical properties with Karuba, differing only by their growing regions.

Two full-length sheets of carbon fiber sandwich the wood core, for a lightweight, yet responsive and torsionally rigid ski. Transform your skiing on the uphill and downhill, with minimal weight penalty.

An Ultralight Progressive Flat-Tail Shape

The La Machine Series has a flat-tail shape with extended tip and tail rocker.

We employ Extended Rocker, a reverse camber shape in the tip and tails, which along with waist width, is the most important element in providing float in fresh snow. Extended rocker also makes pivoting and turn initiation easier and means you have less chance of catching an edge.
