Our 20|21 skis earn a whopping 39 coveted media awards
The 20|21 season brings our most comprehensive collection to date, as affirmed by a whopping 39 awards from the industry’s foremost media outlets. We are excited to report that each and every ski series in the 20|21 collection is an award-winner – with a particularly outstanding haul for the new free-touring skis in the Agent Series.
Our success in the recent ski tests reflects our massive shift to Austrian manufacturing partners. Moving our production to the crème de la crème of world-class ski factories has resulted in unmatched quality assurance. Over 90% of the 20|21 collection is produced with Austrian manufacturing partners, and we’re tracking towards 100% for 21|22.
The awards also reflect the vision and expertise of our world-class product team, who collectively hold decades of experience. Our hardgoods team is backed by our full-time Quality and Sustainability Manager—a Swede and former Volvo engineer by the name of Sara—who proudly works to uphold premium quality across our product ranges, as well as minimize Faction's impact in its supply chain and its manufacturing.

The Agent Series—our descent-orientated touring skis—is one of the most awarded ski lines of 2020. The Agents earned top awards from over 12 leading media outlets including Powder Magazine, Freeskier Magazine, Ski Magazine, Fall Line Skiing and Åka Skidor. Most notably, the Agent 3.0 took home the #1 spot in Freeskier Magazine’s 100-110 mm Freeride Category. You read that right: our new, lightweight free-touring ski won a category that’s all about downhill performance.
