1 - Topsheet

2 - Carbon Stringers

Between 8 and 12 stringers of carbon, sandwiching either side of the ski’s woodcore, are laid unidirectionally, providing extra stability to the ski, without adding bulk to the build. Each carbon strip is woven into the fiberglass to provide strength and stiffness in the full length of the ski.

3 - Poplar & Fiberglass Core

Poplar is a light-colored, medium-weight, durable softwood that flexes and pops nicely as well as having a whole load of vibration absorption capabilities. Used as the only wood in this core, it allows the ski to pop, butter and stomp like an all-mountain freestyle ski and also have enough torsional stability to grip impressively on the downhill. It's set between two layers of fiberglass for strength, rigidity and durability.

4 - Carbon and Rubber Stomp Pads

A carbon/rubber reinforcement underfoot adds strength where it matters most. In addition to protecting the wood core from heavy-duty impacts, it adds stability and vibration absorption under your boots, so stomping landings feel better; both for you and your skis.

1 - Elliptical Sidecut

Elliptical Sidecut is made up of a longer radius underfoot and shorter radius in the tip and tail of the ski. The long radius underfoot means you can pivot faster and easier, while a shorter radius in the tip and tail result in easier turn initiation. This sidecut allows for a wide variety of turn lengths, angles and mounting positions

2 - Boat Flex

Freestyle rocker is best complemented by solid, stiffer tips and tails, to help settle the skis and power through variable snow. Additionally, the stiff tips absorb more vibration when skiers touch down after going airborne. Just add a touch more flex underfoot and it allows the skis to load up and pop on request.

3 - Symmetrical Twin Tip

A symmetrical twin-tip shape, subtle tip and tail rocker and pronounced camber offers riders optimal precision and edge hold.

The slightly skinnier tail and wider tip lead to superior downhill performance vs a symmetrical twin. Tip & tail height are identical, however, for optimal switch skiing. The generous rocker and modest camber lead to a wonderfully playful character, while the moderate taper and Elliptical Sidecut provide precise handling and carving.

The 2026/27 Studio Series welcomes two all-new youth models: Studio Grom FS and Studio Grom FR.

The Studio Grom FS brings premium freestyle performance to young park skiers, while the Studio Grom FR is built for the next generation of all-mountain freeriders. Both are developed alongside our adult Studio Series, with premium construction and durable designs built to progress season after season.

To celebrate Faction's 20th anniversary, the entire Studio Series also features exclusive anniversary graphics inspired by two decades of innovation, athlete-driven development and ski design.

The Studio Series is designed for advanced all-mountain freestyle skiers who want a twin tip that feels powerful, precise, and stable at speed. It’s co-designed with our athletes to deliver the highest level of performance. Built with carbon reinforcement and a refined construction, Studio skis combine high-speed stability with the playful feel of a twin tip, making them equally at home carving groomers, sending jumps and exploring off-piste terrain.

Choose your Studio based on where and how you ski most often.

Studio 0 (83 mm): the halfpipe and Big Air specialist. Narrow, precise, strong edge hold. Choose this if your world is pipe, icy comp features, and high-speed switch skiing.

Studio 1 (90 mm): the park-focused option. Still stiff and poppy, but more versatile than the 0. Choose this if you want a true freestyle ski for jumps, park laps, and carving back to the lift.

Studio 2 (102): the all-mountain freestyle sweet spot. It’s the one to choose if you want one ski that can hit side hits, ski switch, carve hard, and still handle mixed snow outside the park.

Studio 3 (112): is the freeride freestyle choice. Wider, floatier, and better when your version of freestyle includes powder, natural hits, pillows, and bigger off-piste lines.

No, not only experts, but they do make the most sense for more confident skiers. The Studio line is built for high-speed and more aggressive skiing. An advanced intermediate can absolutely get along with one if they like a more powerful feel, but if you want something looser and more playful, Prodigy is another great option.

Both the Studio and Prodigy Series are built for all-mountain freestyle and freeride skiing, but they offer a different feel on snow.

The Studio Series: Premium and precise. The Studio's come equipped with 2 layers of carbon stringers, giving it a stiffer flex while keeping it light underfoot. The Studios have a softer center for stronger pops and more absorption and a stiffer nose and tail to be able to charge through variable terrain and stomp your landings. The Studio is the ski of choice for a lot of our athletes who are competing at the top of their fields.

The Prodigy Series: Playful and dynamic. Built with a poplar wood core, this series features softer tip and tail creating a surfier feel while having a stiffer center allowing the ski to retain optimal grip on harder snow. They are the ultimate choice for creative skiers looking to slash wind lips, butter rollers, and turn the entire mountain into a giant playground.
