Finding the correct ski pole length is crucial for optimal performance. Utilize the angle rule: flip a ski pole upside down, and grasp it just below the basket. Your elbow should comfortably rest near your hip with a 90-degree arm angle.
If poles aren't available, use a tape measure with your elbow bent at 90 degrees, adding two inches for snow submersion.

"I would classify these as a semi-backcountry pole for two reasons 1) they are aluminum, 2) they are not adjustable. I used them for some lift-served bowl skiing that involved hiking to a drop point. They worked great for this, they also held up to hitting a tree. I ski with mismatched poles, in this case one orange and one black For what it is worth, I would buy these again"
