Marketing Manager - North America

The Company:  

The Full Stack Supply Co seeks an experienced Marketing Manager based in Denver, Colorado to grow and develop retail partner and fan marketing for our brand portfolio across the USA and Canada. 

FSSC is best known for our Faction Skis brand and The Faction Collective films which inspire millions of fans.  For 2019-20 we also launched the award-winning FW Apparel, an outerwear brand focused on those who seek performance and understated style.  We call it Gear for Alpine Living.  In addition, FSSC holds the global license for Roxy Skis. 

The role is key, as North America represents over a third of FSSC’s $10m+ sales and with 40%+ growth across 30 countries, we are building a lean, modern international business with ambitious talent and every role counts.   

Members of the North American team are expected to work tightly with their European colleagues to deliver the best products, inspiration and results possible. 

The Role:  

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Marketing Manager to join the Faction team in the Denver office leading into our biggest season yet.  

The international Marketing Team work closely with Sales and Product to position Faction Skis competitively at the heart of freeride and freestyle skiing. You will strategize and lead the North American aspect of global campaigns 

The ideal candidate would have 8 years’ experience minimum within the ski, snowboard or outdoor apparel industries. This experience could span across fan marketing, athlete management, retail partner marketing (trade)events, PR, sales, or other product marketing outside of winter sports.  

This is a demanding role for a motivated individual who works well in a team and communicates exceptionally across timezones 


Marketing Management Responsibilities: 

  • Team Leader of the NA Marketing Team 
  • Reporting regularly to Senior Marketing Manager and NA Head of Sales Development to strategize, execute and analyze North American Marketing 
  • Manage North American Marketing Budget 
  • Contribute positively to our culture and brand  

Fan Marketing Responsibilities: 

  • Work with the Senior Marketing Manager to ensure an effective North American spin on Faction’s global Go To Market campaign 
  • Execute GTM campaign within North America 
  • Analysis of Market penetration and NA share of voice 
  • Work with PR & Communications Lead to build out and utilize North American press database across endemic snow and mainstream media 
  • Manage NA event dates and resourcing in Marketing Calendar 
  • Manage NA Athletes and Ambassadors 
  • Manage NA Partnerships and Sponsorships  
  • Manage relations, logistics and human resourcing for all NA Media Reviews, Product Testing and press seeding 
  • Manage North American film tour stops 
  • Manage NA distribution of digital film assets 

Retail Partner Marketing Responsibilities: 

  • Work with NA Head of Sales Development to optimally adapt Fan Marketing campaigns into powerful Retail Support Assets 
  • Analysis of Retail Partner participation and success 
  • Work with NA Head of Sales Development to project manage NA Trade Shows and Consumer Demos 
  • Manage production of NA Sales Assets: catalogues, pricelists etc 
  • Work with key Retail Partners to ensure optimal brand presence  
  • Manage NA Consumer events 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:  

  • 3+ years of experience managing high-performing teams  
  • 5+ years of experience marketing in the outdoor  
  • A track record of working with high-performance brands 
  • Excellent knowledge of North American market 
  • Understanding of modern marketing, more focus on experience than ad buys 
  • MBA degree or equivalent work experience  
  • Focus on fan satisfaction and results 
  • Technology savvy 
  • Ready for the experience of a start-up where everyone matters all the time, not a comfortable corporate job 
  • Consistent track record of budget overachievement as an individual contributor
