Warranty claims
First things first - we make the skis as durable and as hard-wearing as we can. We ski 150 days a year and we build these skis to last. No foam, no caps just full wood core laminate construction and durable extruded 2000 grade p-tex bases. However - they're NOT designed to be skiied on rocks or roads... hey we've all tried...
The skis are covered by a two-year (most brands are only one year) return to base factory warranty. This means if the ski delaminates or otherwise becomes unskiable due to a manufacturing defect we will replace it free of charge. If you break one landing on a rock from 30ft it's not our fault!
If you think you are eligible for a warranty replacement, BEFORE you ship the ski back to us, contact us FIRST. Take a photo of the damage and email it to us and we can take a look. If we then consider the skis to be eligible for replacement then ship them to either our North American or European warehouse and we'll replace them for you.
DON'T send a ski in without contacting us first as if it's not covered by our warranty you'll have to pay to get it shipped back - and most damage (apart from breaking the core) is repairable with a laminate construction ski.
Warranty claims
Skis - covered
- Structural cracks on fiberglass top sheet, base, core, edge, sidewall and inserts.
- Lamination failure of top sheet, base, sidewall, edge, tip and tail protectors.
- Core expansion.
Skis - not covered
- Any problem resulting from misuse, abuse, impact or neglect.
- Damage caused by any modifications, including altering or defacing the serial number.
- Cosmetic issues including discolored graphics, top sheet dents or chips, edge oxidation.
- Board damage resulting from improper mounting of bindings, the use of incorrect mounting hardware.
Warranty Process
STEP ONE
Evaluate the validity of the claim.
- Was the product purchased in the last 24 months (12 months for bindings and poles)?
- Does the damage appear to be attributable to defective materials or workmanship?
- Does the damage appear to be due to impact, abuse, negligence, or reactions to heat, solvents, or harsh detergents?

STEP TWO
- Bring the product to the store where it was purchased OR Contact us for a Warranty Return Authorisation.
- If the returned product is within the valid warranty period of two years for skis, (one year for bindings and poles) and judged by Faction to be defective, we will repair or replace the product. The warranty remains valid on repaired and replaced items for the balance of two years (one year for bindings and poles) from the original purchase date.
- If the problem is not covered under warranty nor repairable, the product will be returned as is.
- Street addresses are required. We cannot return ship to a PO Box.
